Project Summary

Raptor Oil is focused on transforming the transmission of downhole drilling data to the surface using innovative through-pipe acoustic telemetry technology.

This could increase the speed and capacity of data communication by up to 10 times, helping to drive efficiency, reduce costs and enable better decision-making. This is a critical component/technology in supporting industry to develop fully automated operations, where data drives the decision-making process.

OUTCOMES

With an estimated 10 new well-applications per year, this could save £200,000 per well (based on 12 hours run time saved per well).
